RSI's Training Approach

Before the Training
Prior to the start of each training program, participants are requested to complete an online pre-training assignment or pre-reading exercise. This process ensures that participants are prepared for the training and, in addition, allows for more effective use of time ‘in the classroom’. The results of this online exercise are also used by the trainer to further customize the final delivery of the training program to the participants’ specific needs incorporating both business challenges and opportunities within the workplace.

In the Training Room
RSI’s trainer’s have the right industry experience to ensure maximum effectiveness of training delivery. Whether an industry specific or a management development program, RSI’s focus is on matching the trainer’s qualifications with the participant’s needs. All of RSI’s programs are focused on application based training, using the Socratic method of training. This approach ensures that the participants are challenged by the program and that ample time is given for the participants to apply the concepts presented. The training lesson plans include not only lecture based content but group and individual exercises and activities, facilitated discussions, case studies and analysis as well as workshops where appropriate.

After the Training
In order to evaluate the participants’ knowledge retention as well as ability to apply the concepts from the training program, the participants will be provided with an online assessment to complete following the close of the course.  The results from the assessment will be evaluated by the trainer and included in the post training management report. 

The post training assessment also includes a personal action plan submitted by each training participant to be later shared with relevant managers. The personal action plan can also be used by the participant’s manager to develop a post training coaching plan.

Two months following the completion of each program, a short survey will be made available online to both the participants and their managers. This survey is designed to both evaluate effectiveness of the program as well as the participants’ ability to apply learning in their daily work.

Other Supplementary Services
In addition to training, RSI works with many clients on several initiatives to ensure both the relevance of training offered and that the right return is generated. Today, we also offer HR advisory and consulting services both complementary to training and as stand alone product and service offers.
